Night time is the right time...
Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot, he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the one, she just can't turn him away...

Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone. Yet when Gwen is drawn into Denver's lethal underground scene, Hawk's protective nature comes out full force. The problem is, when Gwen gets a dose of Hawk's Alpha attitude in the daylight, she's not so sure he's the one anymore....

BOOK REVIEW:

When life gets a bit tough I bring out the big guns...Kristen Ashley.

I have been careful to space out her books so I can keep myself in a KA book when I need to be in a KA book.

I am a KA nerd and am reading in the KA order for the KA reading experience. I got me a bit carried away and should have gone to Jagged, Colorado Mountain # 5, since I made sure I got me some The ‘Burg # 1, For You, but Mystery Man paperback was looking all...well, Mystery Man on my bookshelf so Jagged had to wait.

Hawk...oh boy!

Now I gotta say this as a mamma...chicklets don’t be letting men into your bed, who you know nothing about and break into your home during your slumber to be giving you good sex...but, because this is fiction and Hawk is well...hawt and all kinds of everything...it is allowed...but not in real life. (Really bad long running sentence.)

I could gush about Hawk, aka Cabe Delgado, but you can read about him for yourself.

Now you might also get a little gushy abut Tack, Prez of the Chaos MC, and also a little girlie over Mitch Lawson...but we need to stay on track with Hawk, because he is the HEA, ladies, even though we can’t help it if our eyes stray.

Ohhh, they will stray.

Tack

He had salt-and-pepper hair, mainly pepper, black pepper, and it was long with a bit of wave but not too long or too wavy. Ditto with the pepper in his salt-and-pepper goatie that hung a bit long at his chin in a biker way that was mammoth cool. His cheeks were a couple days’ past needing a shave, which looked good on him too. He had spikes of pale radiating in the tan skin around his blue eyes.

There were only two words to describe all that was him : Biker yummy.

Mitch

In my doorway stood a man, a tall man, and there was nothing “ish” about how tall he was. He was just plain tall. He also had dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and a square jaw. His hair was thick. It curled a little around his neck and the collar of his leather jacket. His eyes were soulful. His jaw was strong. He was wearing a chocolate brown turtle-neck under his dark brown leather jacket, jeans, a great belt and boots. A badge hung on that great belt. I had no doubt he was on the cover of Men of the Denver Police Department calendar and I was going out first thing tomorrow to buy one.

Mmmmm... I need to regroup for a moment.

Then we get hit with the Mitch, Hawk and Tack combo and the heart is in a flurry over the alpha smexy.

Hawk got there first and his shades didn’t leave me when he stopped a few feet away.

“Babe,” he greeted, but his voice was kind of rumbly in a way that I didn’t suspect meant he was in a good morning mood.

“Hey,” I greeted back.

Lawson arrived, rounding Hawk so he could get a clear line of sight to me, but his shades swept Tack, his mouth tight, before they landed on me.

“Mornin’, Gewndolyn,” he greeted, ignoring Hawk and Tack.

“Uh, morning.” I greeted back.

“You sleep okay?” Lawson asked.

“Not really,” I answered honestly.

“Got a remedy for that,” Tack put in. Two pairs of shades sliced to him so mine did too. I saw he had his arms crossed on his chest and he was grinning.

Shit.

As this point, Hawk was done.

I knew this because he pointed a finger at Tack and then at Lawson saying, “You...you...talk.”

I figured he was the only person on the planet who could get away with doing something like that with those two guys.

Yup!

Yowza!

We have all sorts of shoot-‘em-ups in Mystery Man and alpha men, sexy moments (purrr) chick nights, angst, dramalama, more shoot-‘em-ups, Tack moments, Mitch moments...more dramalama...chick conferences...LEE!!! And the hot bunch...

Everything I need to put a warm blanket over me and keep me coming back for more is in a KA read.

Over and out.
